Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where are you located?
A: Six miles south of Idaho Falls, on 113th South (Country Club
Road), directly across from the Idaho Falls Country Club entrance.
Q: When do we choose our photographs?
A: Generally after the photo shoot is completed, customers sit down
and look through the raw images. I'll explain the typical
adjustments I
do to all photographs, checking exposures, light colors, etc. Then
customers compile a list of prints to order. Alternatively, I
can upload images to a website for customers to review at a later
time.
Q: What should we wear for the portrait
session?
A: We have a variety of backgrounds suitable to many color
combinations and physical characteristics. Your most important
initial choice is to coordinate the clothing for everyone
included in the portraits.
Q: Can we include our pet in a portrait?
A: Of course.
Q: How long until the prints are ready?
A: Usually the next day unless extensive photo editing is requested.
Q: Can you hide a blemish in the
photograph?
A: Sure.
Q: Can you come to us?
A: Yes. The sitting fee is slightly higher when we transport
equipment to your location.
Q: Do you have any specials?
A: We are offering extensive savings on many
packages, plus a referral bonus. Check out our
promotions page.
Q: Do you use film and keep negatives?
A: While we do have film cameras around, we primarily use Nikon DSLR
(digital single-lens reflex) cameras. These cameras produce no film negatives.
Q: Why do you cost less?
A: We keep our costs as low as possible. Quality photography
can be affordable. The portrait studio is part of our home so we don't have
to pay extra rent. While some expensive equipment is
essential (true professional cameras, lenses, and lighting), we strive to keep equipment costs modest.
